I don't know what the heck is going on but I seem to be gaining weight! I am really mad right now and I want to smash my scales into a thousand pieces! I have been walking every day for at least 45 min. to an hour. Yesterday I worked my butt off for 3 hrs. at my mother's house helping her with a ton of yard work. I have been trying to watch my intake and according to my RDI and my Fat/Crabs/Protein graph I'm doing ok... so what the hell!!!???

Picked up Therese from work at 5 yesterday then went to her parents to fix their bed, which took all of 10 min. Picked up some groceries for us at Food Basics and 4 bags of sheep manure for her dad and dropped it off to him.
Then we went for our walk at the locks as usual. We walked about 3km instead of our usual 3.5 - 3.7km walk but it was fairly vigorous and steady so I know it still definitely helped us.
I noticed that my poor sweetie was getting a little tuckered out and having a bit of a time keeping up with me at times because I sometimes tend to walk a little quicker than her due to having 1 ft. longer legs than her... lol - I do try to keep that in the back of my mind whenever we walk together but sometimes I forget temporarily.
I was so impressed with her determination and perseverance that I treated her (and myself) to a beautiful steak dinner at North 82 - AND WE LOVED IT!!!
She really deserved it and we have not been out for a steak dinner since last fall.
I can't believe that I stayed below my RDI at 83% after adding the steak dinner - Wow!

I gained exactly 1 lb. since weighing in mid-morning Saturday.
Considering that I drank 5 Tall Boys of regular beer Saturday night and Sunday I had barbecued pork spare ribs with mashed potatoes and corn on the cob I think I came out of this weekend pretty well.
This morning I had a good breakfast (644Kcal) and I'm still not hungry almost 5 hrs. later, but I will have either a small salad or an apple just to keep that edge off until supper.
RDI = 32% so far
Calorie Breakdown: Carbohydrate (11%), Fat (54%), Protein (35%)

OK, so I found out that even though my beer is a lot of calories, Therese's rum and Pepsi has more when we drink the same number of drinks each!
Either way I killed my RDI for yesterday because of the beers. I will not be drinking beer anymore - water from now on for me - on card/game night.
I was doing great until the beers added up!
Well at least we cleared out all the junk food today to remove temptation.

I can't believe it! I lost 2.2 lbs. since yesterday at the same time... I re-weighed myself 5 times to confirm my scales are not malfunctioning. Must be the fact that I walked my as* off yesterday and only had about 86% of my RDI by bed time. I'm sure a lot of it was water and waste but I'll take it... lol.
Convinced my wife to set up an account here also because she is very depressed about her weight too. So gonna get her started now then we're going for our daily walk.
