Well killed the carbs and calories yesterday. Had a job interview for a restaurant and ofcourse they wanted me to try something. So because it's mexican almost all the food is high carbs and calories. So had small portion of nachos and that just blew my carbs outta the water. Back on track today atleast :)

Today I reflected upon several of my post and realized that by joining FS, I have a terrific community of friends/buddies that support me thru what for many is a rough traveled path. I appreciate the support and suggestions that many have given me thru the time I have been with FS. I am also grateful for those who have been here from the beginning when I was diagnosised with cancer. I know I'll reach my weight goal and it's all because of the teamwork of others that helps make an individual during this time. So today, I wanted to post a quote that reminded me of what it means to be a part of a community, the FS community.....
Every successful individual knows that his or her achievement depends on a community of persons working together.

Today is what I call a "cheat day". When your on a LCHF diet, you should have 1 day a week that you call a "cheat day". On this day you may have alittle more carbs and a few extra calories. For example I'm having 100 calories and 10 carbs extra then usual. The reason for this so called "cheat day" is to keep your body honest and from reaching a plateau. Basically, it's a way of saying to your body "I'm in control and at anytime I can change things up". It keeps the body guessing and not able to figure out what your doing. Hence being able to lose the weight you want without a plateau.....Today's qoute::::
When we make progress quickly, it feeds our emotions. Then, when there's a period of waiting or we hit a plateau, we find out how committed we really are and whether we're going to see things through to the finish or quit.

Day 5 over since starting back on my diet. It's alot easier this time around as I have gotten use to what I can and can not have. Even my wife is sticking to the diet as well and doing terrific. I'm averaging about 1400-1500 calories daily and about 20-40 carbs daily. So definitely staying where I want to be. Last time I did this exactly the same I lost 26 pounds in 31 days. Now starting Monday I'll be heading back to the gym and starting slowly with some walking on the treadmill and maybe some light weights. I'm so going to do this and this time I will lose the weight I gained back and then alot more.... Believe in yourself, and the rest will fall into place. Have faith in your own abilities, work hard, and there is nothing you cannot accomplish..... Brad Henry

Well after 1yr ago (February 2015) being diagnosised with Renel cell carcinoma I am back doing my thing and hoping to lose a few pounds. Actually more then a few more like 78lbs. My wonderful wife is doing the same diet as well and wants to lose more. So here's to extreme dieting and cutting carbs.....
