So, I was at my Mom's last night for a bit, had dinner. She saw me using the bar code scanner on the app and I explained the site. Was talking about losing weight and what I'm doing, mostly at this point watching what I eat, and my portion sizes (which is honestly my biggest problem).
Now, keep in mind about two years ago my Mom lost about 60-70lbs using a program (I don't remember what it was called). She had to buy their food, and have it shipped, measure and weight all her meats and veggies. It was very structured, and I'm sure very expensive. And it worked for her, which is the point and its fine.
She asked me what my Caloric intake was for the day, and I told her. She looked at me with a snooty look and said, in matching voice, "I'm surprised your losing any weight with that amount of calories. My caloric intake was (600 less than mine)" Keep in mind, she's 2 inches shorter than I am, but now that she lost all that weight she's automatically an expert. And she's a downer. I would have loved to have heard "Great job! Keep it up and you can do this!" Instead I get 'I'm surprised this is working at all'. Well, Gee! Thanks for the support Mom!
Haters gonna hate, I guess.
Sorry for my morning vent.

Doing really well today. Down 4 lbs, and almost decided to get a burger for lunch to 'celebrate'. Really wanting some red meat... but I didn't. The other half's turn to cook tonight, and I'm hoping we have a burger. I mixed some beef and turkery burger together, so I'm hoping we go that way for dinner. I'm determined to stick with this, but sometimes I just want something. A piece of loaded pizza or a burger or something. I can do this, I just need to stick with it, and save that kind of stuff for much later.
I have my little sister's wedding shower this weekend. Hopefully I can behave during that too. SIGH. I've already planned that her wedding day is a day off.
I can do this!! I will lose weight!!

SIGH!!! I weighed in at 166 last night, and then this morning (when I was going to do my 'official' weigh in, I was back up to 168! What gives?!?!
Sigh... oh well. Gotta work harder, I guess.
