Almost 17 lbs down , Yay! Had grilled tilapia, broccoli and green beans last night. My daughter and her boyfriend invited me to the restaurant for supper. That doesn’t happen very often, so I took advantage of it. I walked in and there was about 25 people there - Surprise Birthday Party! A real surprise because my birthday was 5 days ago. :) She does taxes so she was putting in 12 hour days and couldn’t get away. So, it was a very nice evening. When the cake came out, I admired it, shared it, and did not partake of it. Toodles!

Doing pretty well. Probably only had 1 meal with red meat in it in the last two weeks. Eating more fruits and veggies really does help curb the cravings for sweets. The closest thing I've eaten to a dessert is a cup of low fat yogurt with some strawberries and granola. I have made up some interesting combinations of beans and rice that were rather tasty. I'm getting to be a regular gourmet. Well, I hope everyone is doing well. Toodles!

The Good, The Bad, & the Ugly. The Good - I’m still alive; the Bad - I haven’t been on any kind of diet; The Ugly - I’ve gained 10 lbs and set a new record: 285 lbs. Since I started FatSecret, I’ve only gained 32 lbs. :) The app is good; I haven’t been. Too many donuts and late night rendezvous with the enemy. I haven’t quit yet though; it just takes a while to get my attention. I’m looking seriously at this “flexitarian” diet. I know I can drop 15 or 20 just leaving off the bread and the sweets, but I’m looking for a diet I can live with. So, I’ll let you know how that goes. In the meantime, back to the Total Gym, Swimming, Treadmill and lay off the simple carbs. Simple, right? I’m afraid if I gain anymore, I’m no longer going to be that lean mean fighting machine.
