It has been a long time since I've been on and it seems like i say that alot. I have had so many ups and downs with health issues. Had total knee replacement in Jan 2017 and just had my colon removed due to numerous issues with it since childhood. Just got home from hospital yesterday. Its going to be a long battle getting my body to do what it is supposed to do. I did surprise the doctor with my determination to get out of the hospital and speeding up my recovery. There have been a couple issues since i got out, but my family is helping me tremendously. With this surgery I have been taken off quite a few meds that I've been on for a while now. I'm praying this is a new beginning to my weight loss history. I lost 13 lbs since the day before my surgery, but there was a lot that had to be removed.

I was afraid of weighing in, and exactly what I was afraid of, is true. I gained, but I know part of it is fluid retention. My kidneys are acting up again, even though I haven't been drinking pop. I go to the Dr. tomorrow to get kidney function test and uric acid test. I've been having pain in the right side and I'm afraid its either my kidney or appendix. So much is on my mind, knowing I only have a little over a month before I will be so limited on my activity. Now I need to lose 15 lbs.

It seems like it is taking forever to lose this weight. I know it works better when it's done slowly. It seems like i get to another place on the scale, then i don't seem to go anywhere for a while after that. I'm very pleased with being down in the 60's, if only it could be the 100 in front of that. I'm trying to stay positive. Having major health issues, so I won't know if it will be the surgery, another total knee replacement, or the meds from having the surgery, that will delay my hopes of losing weight. I'm trying to lose at least 10 more pounds, before my surgery, on Jan 9, 2017. Heck of a way to bring in the New Year, but i would rather do it then, then now and miss out on all the holiday festivities.

I couldn't believe it when I got on the scales this morning, and I have finally got down into the 60's. Seems like I've been in the 70's for so long. Gives me the little push I need to continue doing this diet thing, lol. I wish that I could get more serious about this, because I would be losing a little faster than I am. I want to make sure it stays off also.

Going to try and remember to weigh in tomorrow. I'm curious now. I think it's been a good week, except for the digestive track. It did at first, but now nothing. I was getting nauseous after eating anything. Did that for 2 days, better now. Getting ready to call Dr. about getting renal, A1C, and a few other blood tests done and then get to see her after the results are in, so we can go over any of them that might need to be addressed. Keeping fingers crossed for renal and A1C especially.
