I'm a 66 y.o. Retired ICU RN. I have 2 adult children, my son and i have minimal contact. I left a toxic relationship with my husband in 2009.
We are not divorcing because of mutual financial investments. I live on the family 10 acres grow my own vegetables, culinary and medicinal herbs. ethnically I am 3/4 Tsagali (Cherokee) the rest is Irish . I have always been.very independant and think and make decisions carefully. My health until about 8 years ago was great ran 5 miles EVERYDAY and lifted free weights using kettlebells. I have had multiple orthopedic injuries caused by playing
AND WORKING HARD. 2006 had my R shoulder repaired, in 2008 my L shoulder due to 30+ years of critical care wear and tear. R knee ACL surgery, in 1989, In 1997 R knee scoped taking my entire meniscus out and in 2000 had L knee the same. I promise you after 30 + years of moving morbidly obese patients around in an ICU BEING ONLY 5'tall and 130# takes its toll.
my hobbies before my arthritis decided to take over my body were sailing, wind surfing, camping, hiking, white water rafting, training eventing and dressage horses, training and breeding protection dogs. Running and competitive natural body building. many days now are slow and painful but like the tortois I do get things done. in 2020 my husband was found unresponsive and in a diabetic coma duento COMPLETE NON COMPLIANCE with his diabetes and chronic STUPIDITY. a month in ICU. HE came home and I had no.choice.but to care for him. He required.24/7 skilled nursing care, could not bathe, stand, sit feed himself. in the last.4 years he has improved but still cannot drive is legally blind and remains with Very unsteady mobility requiring a cane.
it is very much like having a 66 y.o. 230# toddler because he is still hateful difference is HE KNOWS I WILL NOT STAND FOR HIS BS and will turn around and go back to my workshop where I live. He learned that the hard way as he has learned most things. He refused to stay in bed till I came back with his clean clothes. I walked back into the room and he was on the floor. he cussed me out told me I was a bitch and I turned around and walked out. he.did manage to crawl to his cell and called me asked for help I said I would come back up but the humble pie was going to be VERY BITTER.
NEVER CUSSED ME TO MY FACE AGAIN.
