Had a nice long strenuous walk yesterday morning since the humidity was down. Bubbie even walked along at a normal pace. He's quite lazy for a young dog and even gives up after a block or two sometimes, but it's probably the heat that gets to him. He didn't feel like walking this morning, so we cut it short. Now it looks like rain, so I don't know if I'll have another chance.
I've felt neglected by Mr Coco lately because he gets lost in his TV and forgets I'm there. So I get quiet and aloof and he eventually realizes he's been absent and makes up for it by cooking. Last night he made bruschetta and a fabulous peach dessert that had a crumble and whipped cream topping. Shouldn't have eaten it, but did anyway.
I woke up late this morning because I stayed up too late watching scary movies (The Thing - 2011 version). There's another shouldn't -- I had nightmares that had me doing the muffled scream, which wakes up Mr Coco.
Today's my dad's 80th b'day. Our whole family took him out to Olive Garden over the weekend and it was a lot better than I expected. The unlimited breadsticks and salad are dangerous for dieters though. I'm going to try to drive over to see mom and him today if my work slacks up.
I'm having some anxiety about debt, the upcoming remodeling project, and my ability to keep up with work.
Instead of focusing on the anxiety, I will think about the positives for which I am grateful: I feel good, I am able-bodied, I have a loving family and a nice home.
