The struggle is real. I was losing weight at a good clip following a 1200 calorie daily diet but I was so hungry! Moved up to 1600 and saw the pounds come back, now moving down to 1500. We'll see. I'm not about that hungry life. I prefer to keep exercising and gaining muscle while still feeling satiated.

I hesitate to post a goal on the internet, but....I'm training for a marathon in June 2020. I'll be running with my cousin who is a regular runner. This is a huge deal for me because I've had bad hips and knees (surgeries too) since I was a child. Running takes a lot of extra training for me to keep my hips and knees supported. It's a big time commitment but I find that I need something to be working towards to keep up with a workout regimen. This is a great long-term goal to help me keep my eyes on the prize.

Recently, I've been worried that not taking extreme care of my joints and muscles will soon result in disabling mobility issues like my mother has now in her 60's. I was just in a car accident a month ago that injured my left hip and low back. It put the fear in me. I don't want to be unable to move freely in my 50's so I'm going to put a lot of effort into mobility in my 40's.

I'm training using the run/walk method by Jeff Galloway which is meant to prevent injuries and allow for better recovery. Today I ran/walked 1.24 miles. Got to start somewhere!

great running goal. I run for exercise weekly but I am a moderate runner LOL. My advice would be to take it slow. Your stamina will improve fast but it takes joint a while to catch up. And obviously good shoes and shoes a good surface avoiding side walks if you can. You find your appetite go up with running. Mine does. It is a natural thing. Good luck!!
