Almost 2 lbs gained! It does not show up in my clothes, though. Again, not sure what I did differently. I guess I ate too much, what else. Definitely not extra muscle!
I am going to the Great Canadian Keto Conference next Saturday. It is in Toronto (a good 4-5 hour trip from Ottawa), so I will not weigh in next week. After work on Friday, I will have to go directly to the train station (I have been to Toronto twice by car and I am not doing that again!) and I will sleep in Toronto so I can go to the hotel the event is held in on Saturday morning. It will be a speedy Saturday. I will have to hop in the train again on Saturday evening to get back home. Flying to Toronto would have been a time-saver, but way too expensive at the time I was trying to book something.
Unfortunately I will not be able to hear any speaker and will only hang out in the trade show section (not free), because I paid for 2 people (train, Airbnb and trade show) in advance and it was getting crazy expensive for my budget.
For those who will be there on August 17, Jimmy and Christine Moore, Amy Berger, Dr. Ken Berry (video) and Joanna Wilcox (Keto in Canada) will be there as speakers. There are also a few others.
There was also a Keto Fest in Montreal on June 1. By the time I learned about it on some newsfeed online, it was already over (June 1 in the evening) and I was just getting back home from my mom who lives in the Montreal area! In Quebec media, it is almost again "vegan this, vegan that" (to save the environment), so it is always surprising and refreshing to hear or read about keto in Quebec. They do talk or write about keto there, but they always end up interviewing a dietician or a doctor who says it is not good long term because "all that meat and fat will give you a heart attack", without realizing that there are also vegetarian and vegan versions of keto.
