I have been home for 10 days and it has been tough. I'm four weeks post radiation therapy for my thyroid and they say this is when your thyroid levels start dropping. Guess I'm gonna give up food...(NOT)

I can relate! I had radiation on my thyroid 3 years ago. My endocrinologist always tell me that my thyroid is 'very naughty' and after radiation did not fix the problem and trying to regulate it with hormones and fighting a losing battle, last year I had it removed. I am now much more on an even keel but my weight has been an ongoing struggle and once again, I am trying to get a handle on it. 6 days now and I do feel better but I miss my beloved carbs even tho I believe if I can just get through the next week or so it will get easier. I have not weighed myself yet but I'm so praying for good news on the scale. I believe in you ... you can do it!!! Good luck to us both :)

I will make it, I'm a pretty good fighter. my son had RAI over three years ago and they just had to increase his meds so I guess it is a never ending battle.

Sorry it took me so long to gwt back with you have been out of town. It is still an losing battle. My son had it done four years ago and they just raised his meds. My problem is now my pulse is so darn high but my BP is good. They have me on atenonol but doesn't seem to help so much. First I gained 6 lbs and now for some reason its gone. Not sure I'm any better.
