I am just getting a little discouraged because I am not losing any weight and seem to be gaining the last couple of weeks. I have always tried to eat healthy and I cook at home about 90% of the time, and I've recently started working out everyday (Zumba, Dance games and walking). I know I eat too much cheese, but not seeing that this alone would cause a weight gain. I tend to be healthier than most of my "skinny" friends but I am just tired of being fat I guess.

Maybe you could consider another diet plan? Just to jump start you, then try your own diet again? I don't know what you are aiming for so I can't really be of any help, but I hate to see anyone so discouraged! Sometimes what we think is eating healthy may not be the healthiest for certain individuals. I am looking at your calorie intake and your exercise and can fully understand why you are so disgruntled. 1200 intake and 3443 outgo should equal weight loss.....I know you didn't ask for advice, I'm just going to say that I see way too much sugar in whats posted irregardless of other carbs. Your fat intake is high enough to take care of your caloric needs so the carbs are just going into fat storage. Just my humble opinion. Not scientific evidence! Good luck in whatever direction you decide to take!

You also need to take into account that exercising will build muscle and muscle weighs more than fat.

A pound of muscle and a pound of fat weigh exactly the same. ONE POUND. A pound of muscle is more dense than a pound of fat and therefore takes up less space, so, your body can be smaller and more dense yet still weigh the same as if it were bigger but with more fat. Make sense?

Thank you all for your comments and concerns. It feels so good to have some support and now that I know you guys are here, I will post more often :-). I know that I eat too many carbs, which I just realized last week (I know, I know). My biggest weakness is cheese and I am trying to get away from that, starting slow with buying reduced fat cheese and not using as much as I normally would otherwise. I always eat lots of vegetables, but I am incorporating more as well. After reading your messages, I worked out at 11:30 last night lol. So I am NOT giving up just yet.

I found out the only way I could lose any weight at all was to stop eating local (Malay/Indian) food. Lots of fats in these. I'm glad you're back in the fight! My best wishes! :)
