Not surprised by this weight gain. I have been eating normally for the last 2 weeks after my procedure, so it was bound to happen. I ate less some days because of the heat wave that won't go away!
I have also been tracking how my fibroids are reacting to the embolization. It is still too early to tell whether this worked. Since July 1st, I have been bleeding non stop, but not as bad as before. Maybe 5 days of normal bleeding (light by my former normal standards), then spotting the other days. I still take my iron supplementation. I will see how it goes for the upcoming days.
I keep tracking my blood pressure the best I can, despite the heat wave. Excessively high temperatures coupled with humidity seem to raise my BP. Since July 1st, my BP has been stuck in the mid-130s in the mornings, with a fast pulse. I don't rule out Covid infection, even though I think my BP will go down next week, when the humidex (summer "feels like" temperature) gets to be closer to the actual temperature.
We've had sunny (but scorchingly hot and humid) days all week, but it ends for this weekend. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are coming my way, but no temperature and humidex relief yet! I don't have AC as I rent my place and cannot sacrifice any window. I survive on fans and sometimes going in my very unfinished basement. Can't wait for next week for more normal temperatures!
