I had another baby! Though I gained less than with my previous pregnancy, I started at a higher weight at the beginning of this pregnancy. Therefore, I am less than 10 pounds heavier than I was after my previous baby.
At any rate, I am so anxious to get going again - though I am only 2 weeks PP, and obvs can't workout yet. When I do begin again in a month (fingers crossed) I think I shall do #mbf (Muscle Burns Fat) by Beachbody. It looks fun, but we'll see.
I am working on my diet already though, mostly. Much of my pregnancy cravings are gone, but I have still been wanting carbs (especially oatmeal, rice cakes, bread, and sugary stuff). I am assuming this is normal for breastfeeding. Speaking of, I know that last time I started over like this I did not have luck for the first few months, possibly due to breastfeeding, so I am trying to be mentally prepared for that. Anyways, I've got a bit of a meal plan for next week going, and I have loaded up my grocery list with fruits and veg. I'm also steering into the skid with the carb cravings, by eating oatmeal with pecans and dried fruits for breakfasts, and I plan to add sweet potatoes to my lunches.
Mentally I am in a better place this go-round, as I finally sought help for my depression and anxiety about a year a half ago. So, no PPD as of yet. Most of my woe last time was due to my body. And though I do not exactly like to see myself in the mirror - I know this is temporary. I am going to keep my chin up.
My mom handed me down a gift card to the Gap, and since nothing of that brand will fit me rn, I ordered a pair of goal jeans. They are high-waisted bell bottoms. They are so chic, I cannot wait to strut around in them.
I am looking forward to being me again. This baby factory is pretty much closed, so I can focus on getting my body back to where I want it. I enjoyed my goal weight for like 2 months before getting pregnant with my previous baby, and was about halfway back before getting pregnant this time. I am so ready.
