Started WW again on 2/8/21! The never-ending battle, but this time I will continue to get past myself. Weight loss has been always too slow for me. At 65 I feel it will take me 5 years to get where I need to be for better health and energy. I always do the same thing...lose a few pounds, get motivated and lose a few more, and then stall. What follows is feeling defeated and depressed that I will never get down to the weight I want to be at. At this point, I give up! So I am my own worst enemy. I let the whiney child in me pull me down and believe the lies she is telling me. This time I will learn from past failures and mistakes, recognize that a stall is simply that, no more no less. If I am not gaining then it is still a win! I a month goes by and still stalled I will shake it up a bit by changing something up like exercise or what I am eating. Most of all I can't listen to the defective talk I tend to do to myself. One thing I have learned about myself is that by weighing every day my weight fluctuates up and down for a few days and then gives us the weight and settles to a new low. Watching that happen over and over somehow inspires me now that I understand this is how I lose. So, by May I hope to be down in the low 180's.

Thanks Tina for your comment! I have found, for myself that losing weight is like a lot of habits that are hard to overcome, 90% mindset. 6 years ago I quit a 40 year smoking addiction but only after I realized for me it was mostly my mindset. Once I realized that and changed my thoughts then it still was difficult but quite doable. Same with losing weight I think and changing the way I look at food.
