New low! Woot! Total of 48 pounds lost, out of 100. Only 2 pounds away from 50, or halfway there.

The trick when you have a lot of weight to lose if the mini-goals, and these challenges help so much. You don't look at the big picture, just get to the end of the month, or the week.

Big news. I joined a gym yesterday. I haven't belonged to a gym in over 25 years. It's 24 hours, and it's only $20/month, no contracts. Only downside, parking is scarce, but on the upside, I can park a block away and walk. It's a good neighborhood in Palm Springs, CA, so I should be okay.

I showed the guy at the gym yesterday my FS phone app with all my food entered and he was really impressed. This was after I joined, so there was no reason for him to suck up to me at that point - he already had my money, haha.

Hey everybody on here, what we do here, entering all our food here each day, turns out that's a pretty big deal, so let's keep doing it.

You are SO right! I know I feel more comfortable being accountable by documenting EVERYTHING I eat. Congrats on joining a gym again. I got my exercise videos and free weights back out of storage (trying to sell our house), so today is my first day of doing more than stretching and walking. Yeah for both of us!

Dang! How do we party when you hit that 50? That's so awesome. AS to the monthly/weekly goals. I though you told me I had to make it until 8 AM each day.

LOL, NM. Not sure how to party virtually - any thoughts from the Peanut Gallery? As for goals, I suggest for everyone that they never give up on their diets and that they try to at least "make it until morning", and I define "morning" as 8AM, not two minutes after midnight. Got it, everyone??

WTG Mrsmole. You are really rockin' lady. I like breaking down our losses into smaller goals. I may make some adjustments in mine because it seems so far to go to reach the first step. I also like the advice not to give up until morning. I have the same strategy when I do things such as when I stopped smoking. If you can wait till morning you can make it another day. Bless you for reminding me of it.

Ugh...so tired...Jawbone UP says I only put in 5419 steps. Liar! Although that's a lot for Saturday, so maybe not. And some of them were stairs. STAIRS! Who puts stairs in a gym!? I was like, "What, no elevator?" LOL. Back Monday for more abuse. Thanks to all for caring!

I went to a gym that had stairs. You had to use them if you wanted the restroom, tanning beds, eliptical machines, and treadmills. So yeah, you had no choice.
