I was perhaps naive in thinking that a 36% change in calorie intake from 1660 to 2260 even over three days wasn't going to have an impact. Events of yesterday also conspired against me andI ended up completing my planned home exercises and scoffing 550 calories of coffee cake and cheese and biscuits a 9.30PM to meet my new targets. This three hour delay in eating is probably what adversely affected my morning weigh in most of all.
The lesson here I think It makes me think about "level loading" my intake better during the day ie bigger breakfasts and lunches. Retrospectively I should not bothered with the eating the cake that late - I wasn't hungry and I should have adjusted my plan and carried those calories forward to today.

My excuse for late eating was a very good one. I was on my walk around the local reservoir four miles from home and I spotted a bearded dragon in the grass. I knew what it was because one of my nieces had one. Obviously I couldn't carry him home so after taking a few photos I left him. When I got home several hours later I worried about poor old Beardo so decided to return in the car armed with a box and my trusted and well used mouse catching gauntlets and try to find him. He was close to the same spot and I was able to capture him and bring him home without much fuss. After failing to get through to the RSPCA and contacting the farm next to where he was found there was no joy so I put a found advert on our local community website to try and locate the owners. Within an hour or two someone from a neighbouring village who had proper reptile facilities (thanks young Libby) offered to look after it until the owners could be found. All this faffing takes time and my exercise and eating program were pushed backwards this resulted in the end of day panic to make my new diet plan numbers.

The good news was that Beardo was dropped off somewhere where he could be properly looked after. I also learnt that my wife doesn't want a bearded dragon as a pet. Even though Beardo has probably messed up my diet plan by 0.5Kg I still love him.

Today I'm keeping faith in my new plan and continuing to reduce my deficit to 720
