You will definitely need to beware of the Scottish diet.. it's one of the worst in the west.. but sooooo tasty. Hope you're not vegetarian or you'll likely have to grow your own whilst you're here😜🧅🥦🥔and of course enjoy a Glasgow salad with everything🍟🍟

rainl....I can't even take offence....it's true!! Deep fried everything and no, I haven't tried a deep fried mars bar but I did try a deep fried cream egg,,I dunked chips in it,,it was great 😂😂 Thankfully there are a lot more vegan and vegetarian places opening up now though!

We are staying in Ayr (in an old bungalow belonging to family that is now being used as a holiday home for family & close friends). Been to Scotland many times before but never to this area before. We have always gone straight up north to the beautiful west coast and the Highlands before. I'm not vegan or vegetarian ... and I adore haggis!! Never tried a deep fried Mars bar or a deep fried cream egg and don't want to. I do love Scotland.

The beach is lovely, we drove along the esplanade but it was way too cold & wet to stop and get out.
