I’m staying well in deficit and not drinking any alcohol and I’ve upped my exercise too and still I am fighting not to gain never mind lose. Not going to let it get me down, could be stress or need to change up my diet a bit. Trying to be scientific about it and not disappointed 🤣

I find it to be a 5-year cycle starting from 35 years old. Every 5 years you have got to completely overhaul everything, change diet, eat less, re-think exercise. It does get harder, I can't deny it!! But the rewards are greater health wise.

Thanks Nadia, yes usually cutting out alcohol completely is a sure fire way for me to kick start a loss but not this time it seems. I will keep at it maybe a few tweaks.

Haha Anne well that escalated quickly! To be honest I don’t mind this weight, it’s a comfy size 12 for me, but I have form for bouncing back up and then adding a bit more for luck. This time I feel like I’m locked in a battle with my body, refusing to do it!

I think as we get older everything takes that bit longer.......moving, recovery from illness or injury, reflexes, metabolism etc And, of course, weight loss. If I had done the regime I am on now when I was 30 the weight would have ripped off. Now, it just plods off at its own slow pace!! The only thing that speeds up is weight gain. GGGrrrrr

Awwwu knocked of more then 10years Suma I just turned 49. I know am probably the first woman to admit it .... I don't smoke and never use chemicals on my skin anti ageing creams rubbish I use night cream boots and most nights I for get to use it never use soap facial wipes for my face expensive foundation I think the secret is I lately feel 16 my body seems to think so ☺️☺️

Thanks trytry, yes drinking lots of water, eating as early as I can given the family constraints. It is both a bit disheartening but also scientifically interesting! Haven’t measured but clothes are good and muscle tone great. X
