I’m in a bit of a conundrum. When I don’t eat breakfast, I tend to eat much less during the day. However, if I go several days without eating breakfast, I begin to have stomach aches from my medicine (which I take in the AM). I’ve been trying to eat just something small with the meds and then only eat when I’m hungry - but that little taste sets me off. I have been trying on and off eating in the morning to see if I can balance. Any other suggestions would be appreciated!!

I’ve tried many variations of breakfast from low calorie to higher calorie. I find that 550 - 600 calorie meals sustain me nicely for a good solid 4 hours. Yesterday, my breakfast was a whopping 720 calories!! I stayed completely full until 5 hours later. Did not feel at all like I needed a snack. I make sure to have at least 5-6 oz of protein each meal and some healthy fats. I’d definitely eat with your medicine if you feel like you need to. My daughter has tummy issues w antibiotics and cannot take them on an empty stomach or she gets very sick. Foods help her not feel so bad.

Are you supposed to take the medicine on an empty stomach? If so, eating dinner closer to bedtime can help (note that I said dinner -- not dessert or a snack). This way you aren't hungry right away in the morning, and you could take your meds first thing upon waking (before showering, before coffee, before commuting to work). The idea here is to put as many hours as possible between meds and your next meal.
