Okay, in 5 days I've lost exactly 0 pounds. I've been playing at this. I'm eating bigger on lifting days to attempt to stall muscle loss during the cut. No more. Up goes the protein, down go the carbs. 1800 max each day starting... tomorrow. :) My birthday was this week (augh!) so I'm going out to dinner. I'll just manage all the other meals properly today and hit it starting tomorrow.

Happy Birthday... Muscle loss is a concern of mine too. Muscle is denser than fat and where fat is burned. It's the last thing I need to loose. I try to use strength as a measure of muscle loss. I'm also looking for cuts in the mirror. Part of the challenge of weight loss is to loose the fat and not the muscle...

Thanks, HCB. Yes, it's my 40th... again! John. I'm actually quite pleased. Though I've put on 30 pounds since summer on this ridiculous bulk, I've discovered that my triceps are still the defining back edge of my arm and not fat, like the last time around. Buffy. With age comes wisdom? I think you need to get to know me better. Some vegetarian friends invited us to their place for my special meal. I hope they were kidding because I turned them down. Going for tea after the meal. I'm sure they wouldn't try to sabotage me. :Eye roll: I think dinner will be halibut. Yum.
