Lost 1.2 pounds since last weigh in so that's cool. I am under 210 again and shooting for under 209 by tomorrow. It's going to be a challenge on Monday however with the Holiday; celebrations and remembrances.

My dad died on Memorial day a few years ago and this day is always tough for me. He was a member of the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles so all the Memorial day events make this a much more heartfelt day. I guess I will never forget how a funeral can be bittersweet but I can say his was. He was laid to rest at a military memorial park and was remembered with a 21 gun salute and full military honors. Of course I was grief stricken since we didn't expect him to die, but I felt proud for him at the same time; thus, the bittersweet.

I salute all our military men and women, living and dead. Enjoy the time with your family and appreciate a veteran.

Thanks everyone. Boy could I tell some stories! And these stories are what's made this day much different than the first year. My viewpoint on losing a loved one now is...keep the memories close and think of them often. Think of them so much that those memories become huge...bigger than life. Though it's obviously not the same as having them here, those fond memories eventually take place of some of that hollow feeling and sorrow and will someday take the sorrow away, though we will never stop missing them.

A client told me the other day to contact the Library of Congress. They are doing some project re: Vets and their stories. They will put together a CD including photos etc. meet the families re: any memorabilia and or stories you may have. I wish I could remember the name of the project, I should have written in down.
