9lb away from my “goal” although I might drop it slightly more but I want to achieve the next 9lb first to make it feel more manageable.

I think that's a good weight loss pace. Steady, manageable, not a shock to the system, giving great results. Personally, I would wait until I hit my target before dropping it too. You need to congratulate yourself and tick off every milestone you reach 💪✌️
