I am SO surprised and SO happy about this week's weight loss. 2.4 lbs!! That's crazy, and it's only my second week. I feel like I'm off to a great start, and I have some decent motivation to keep it going.

I am planning on running this week (T and R), and I have volleyball Wednesday night. Hopefully this momentum will keep up and I can lose another pound next week!

I was feeling a little extra hungry today, and I think maybe I didn't have enough water. My protein is pretty high, so I think I should full. Tomorrow will be a better day. :)

If you haven't had a chance to check out my goals yet, look at yesterday's journal post or my bio and let me know what you think!

Also, if anyone wants to hit me up to be accountability partners, please do so! I am totally down :)

A couple of tips after reviewing your diet calendar. 1. Don't drink your calories. 2. Eat real food often. recognize those mochas are calorie dense and provide little nutrtion. I like them as well, but onlu indulge when I have meat my macro minimums for the day with real food (nutrtion). Even be cautious with juices... a tall glass is quite a few cals and you can quickly blow past your RDI. Real food simply means little-to-no processing. Typically the more you process it the more calorie dense it is. Prepacked stuff is most likely processed stuff. Unprocessed food breaks down into glucose slower, thus eliminating insulin spikes, and the cravings/hunger the eventually follows in that cycle. You will find the need for will power not necessary as you realize you are no longer bound to those cravings! What a great feeling! Good luck!

You're off to a great start, nice going! I think your plan to lose .75lbs/week is good, slow and steady is a great way to proceed. Doing things that way forces you to be disciplined and really make a lasting change in the way you eat plus it's healthy and gives your body time to adjust, tighten up as you lose pounds. I see you have your mini-goals planned out with expected dates...it's good to have those milestones to shoot for. However if you don't hit those right on target don't get discouraged. More important than being a certain weight by a certain date is just keeping on with your healthy plan of living, through the inevitable ups and downs that may come along. Never give up!

ckworksalot - I do eat a lot of real food. In my food diary you will see things like "apple dijon chicken" or "garlic chicken and potatoes" because I add all of my recipes to my cook book so I don't need to calculate how much of each ingredient I use. This past week wasn't my best week, and I occasionally have starbucks drinks, but the starbucks veranda blondes are kcups I have everyone morning. I have apples almost every day, and eat almonds quite often. The drinks are usually my indulgences I have, and are the only time I really drink my calories. I appreciate the tips. jmb3450 - Thanks! I'm hoping to keep the .75 lbs a week average going. Thanks for the advice! I'll try not to be too strict. It is holiday season, so I'm sure there will be a few bad days. ;) I'm eventually gonna try to get some vegetables in, but I find it hard to find them a way I enjoy. Thank you everyone!
