This will be a short-lived weight victory, dropping down like this again, but it's to be expected that it'll shoot back up tomorrow with all of the delicious dishes for Thanksgiving! On top of that, there were more desserts than usual because tomorrow is my grandfather's 70th birthday, so we celebrated today since most of the family was together (21 ppl showed!). Amazing day! ;)

Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving!

Currently feeling: like it's almost time to start diving into the stuffing I made that was excess from the 2pm dinner we enjoyed!
Overall throughout the day: Amazing, even if I put off making the stuffing 'til this morning, was 10 min late after my hour drive, was hassled for not bringing any great-grandchildren to the family yet (I'm only 29!), harassed again for not bringing my BF (he had to be in bed by 2pm so he could wake at 10pm for work at midnight), and got stuck at least 3 inches deep in the mud while trying to drive down my uncle's unpaved, no-gravel drive way (house was just built). Was funny, and a great day!

Remember anything you gain from eating tomorrow will be water weight unless you eat well over 5000 calories in one day!! Enjoy it and then start again right after, no guilt! You've come this far, one day won't wreck it. :)

Oh wow, thanks Ebbykins! I had never heard that and will keep that in mind about the 5k calories! My family has a heavy hand while salting during cooking, so I definitely expect some water weight! I was pleasently surprised with the amount of calories I ingested for Thanksgiving...I expected WAY more!! Only 900, before the 500+ calorie cheesecake my grandma made...WOW!! And I definitely chose one of the calorically riches cheesecakes, because I've seen how she makes it...and you don't want to know, but it is DAMN GOOD!! YUM!!

Ebbykins is right, though 5000 is maybe pushing it. Think of the logic behind it. Unless you eat MORE than what you burn in a day (or over a week, month or year as a matter of fact) then in theory you should not gain weight, right? So if you burn maybe 3000 or 3500 calories per day, just eat less than that on Thanksgiving Day. To gain a pound of actual fat, you have to be in excess of 3500 calories. So if you eat 500 calories MORE than what you burn, you should only gain about 1/7 of a pound. Of course this is all theory, and nobody told your body any of this. It might now know. :) Just know on a day like this that if you do give in then it's not the end of the world. Just forget this info tomorrow. :)
