well, one more lb down. 39 to go. Checking ketostrips...still not much showing. So, do I drop my carbs down even further? Do I need to keep it at 15 total carbs or less? Happy to be below 190 on my new scale (which is 2 lbs more than new one). So far 17 lost.

If you are keeping carbs anywhere under 50 per day you should be in ketosis. If you haven't slipped or cheated I would not worry about them anymore. Some people just don't seem to record it. I would not lower your carbs anymore. If anything, your body might just be becoming stubborn and resistant. Maybe it's time to move up to OWL and increase the carbs for a little while.

It took me a while to reach Ketosis after my chocolate binge. 10 days maybe. How long have you been on total carbs now?

Are the people advising you losing? Why would someone up their carbs if they're not in Ketosis? People need to explain their reasoning, if it does not make sense. Read other's journals who advise, and see if this is working for them before following advice. If someone can't kick drugs doing a little, how they can they kick drugs doing a lot? If people read journals before advising, they'd see you were not counting carbs properly.
