Today I ended up going over my RDI by about 1/4 of the intake recommended. While this could be discouraging, to me it was a victory. It was my daughter's 18th birthday today. I made the goal in advance of today to make the best choices possible within the framework of a celebration day. I had a small piece of cake and had the Chinese food, just the mushroom chicken instead of the chowmein. For me, knowing that I am in control of what happens to my body is key to my feeling like I can succeed. The rest of the week is on target and very encouraging!
