Seema,
If you can just up your exercise by going to the gym. If you can aim to go about 7pm and do not eat after the session when you get home i.e. last eat at 6pm, an hour before gym, you will find that you burn more calories then you eat. Added bonus you get a new network of friends in the gym. Don't weigh yourself for the first few months as fat turns to muscle and your weight does not decrease. But once you have muscle, you burn up more calories and you will feel a change in your body. There is a positive knock-on affect of you feel good, more energised, you naturally eat less as your stomach size shrinks and you feel less inclined to consume empty calories (in my case my alcohol consumption has gone down) etc. It takes anything from 4-6 months but believe me, you suddently notice the change and feel positive from that day onwards.
Never give up hope, that is also key. if current eating regime does not work then change to something else. For me, tehe 5:2 routine AND not eating after 6pm at least 4 days a week really works. However, its not a hard and fast rule so you can be flexible when you need to be.
Another method is eat controlled number of calories Mon-Fri and Saturday/Sunday don't count calories but just don't over indulge. That also seems to work.
as willtodo says... failing is not an option and you will succeed.
