Up early to hit spin class & determined to stay my course over this weekend, one day at a time! I'm committed to the mindful eating approach & know even baby steps in that direction is a good journey choice for me, and the best way to keep the sugar binge demon at bay. I'm feeling good about my therapist choice, especially knowing it can be changed if I choose to along the way.

We had a nice night out last night at DH's boss's retirement dinner last night. Tonight we're out to an open house at a friend's whose DH now lives in Singapore on a temporary assignment. He's back for Thanksgiving, & it will be nice to catch up. Then tomo night we're taking MIL out, so 3 dinners out this weekend & then Turkey Day on Thursday -- lots of chances to practice my mindfulness, both in eating & living. Also hoping to get to yoga this afternoon as I am enjoying adding it to my new big life.

Best of all though, my youngest got home from college last night for the week… so I have much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving!

But before I get onto my day, I'll pray --

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

And throughout this one day, and each one meal, moment, bite & emotion, I'll pray, breathe, log, journal & express my way. I'm so grateful to have you all here for me as knowing that makes each one day... so much easier, happier & more fun, to have younger son home for the week & my family together, and to have the health & wealth to live this life I love, even with its bumps & detours in the road to eating & living mindfully. xoxox

Hi Angel- more footprints :0) I like the way you wrote 'opportunities to practice' rather than 'meals to resist'. You're changing my good friend.. and in a very good way :-)
