Trying to slowly get back on the horse. It's amazing how a break of only a few days can make your body forget all the good stuff. I've been feeling bloated and working out was slow going. Felt too heavy to feel like running on the treadmill. Managed to just walk fast, at 4.0 miles for 30 mins. Did another 30 on the bike and 20 on the elliptical. Wanted to do weights and abs but got distracted and came back home instead.

Food-wise, been trying to be good. Instead of having coffee outside, I made my own in my office so as to monitor the exact carb-count on the creamer. No breakfast, but had an early lunch of meatless crumbles-containing tofu spagetti. Had a little bit after classes to tide me over to manage my workout. Perhaps that was why I was feelign a little heavier?

I'm wodnerign if I should try and workout tomorrow first thing in the morning so I avoid all this food-lethargy. Put in a real decent 2 hours, including weights, abs, and running...I'll try to plan on making this happen.

I drank 2 L of water today, but I think I need to force myself to drink more earlier in the day so that I don't feel all this water-retention..

Hey, 2 days in a row here! Nice! Even if your workout wasn't all you planned, it was still a great one! Walking at 4.8? How long are your legs? I'm jogging at that speed! Remember, breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Try not to skip it too often! Have a great day today!

Your heart might not have been in your work out but you did well, all the same. If you can get one component on track at a time, food or exercise, get at least one foot in the stirrups, it might feel easier. Keep at it. It will happen!

oops, Amryk, I meant 4.0 miles per hour (I fixed the typo above)..and no, I'm not tall at all, in fact, quite a shorty at 5.1 feet!!! :( Thanks guys for the motivational tips...will continue the good fight with such inspiration!

I think it has been going around. I missed the gym Monday. I worked out yesterday and I am sore today. I hope you are having nice weather where you can get outside and enjoy it, that tends to improve my mood and motivation.
