I think this is the 3rd time I've attempted the Atkins diet, and it is BY FAR the easiest... Day 2 of induction was a little rough, but day by day it gets a little easier. I feel like I can actually succeed this time! One thing I miss is the crunchiness of chips, so I did give in and buy some pork rinds... At least they're induction friendly! I've learned to make peace with the induction phase... There's a substitute for almost anything I crave, so because of that, I really don't feel deprived at all. Not gonna lie, though... I miss bread, cereal, and cookies soooo much! But, I do what I can to sub for them and I try my best not to think about them :)

Hope everyone else in my challenge is doing well. The hardest part of induction is the fact that you can't cheat whatsoever, because as soon as you do, your body goes out of ketosis and you have to start all over, and you have to deal with the cravings again! It's def not worth it to me! I've been trying hard to drink lots of water... I keep a water bottle with me 24/7, it makes it easier to drink more, and it's a constant reminder to drink it!

Well done Jess! I have given myself 21 days to break the habit of eating all those carbs and sugars....not easy but as you say SO worth it! How do you know when you have gone into ketosis?

Thanks, CaryAnnie!! I actually just follow atkins, with no cheating. I wish I had the strips or could check my blood to know for sure, but I don't want to spend the money! I can tell though because the weight just keeps coming off, pound by pound. As long as I dont plateau, and eat by the rules, Im pretty sure I'm staying in ketosis. Do you use the strips, and if so, do they work? I would love to buy them, but they seem to get mixed reviews and I'm afraid they'll be unreliable.
