15 weeks in and 4lbs away from my half way mark. I made a deal with myself that when I broke 200lbs I would buy a bicycle. I am down to two choices. Can’t decide between carbon fiber frame or steel. I have another 8-10 weeks to decide, at least.
Goal for next year will be to rediscover my bicycle touring legs. My longest single day ride was 154 miles so that is something I would like to beat. No OTB for me. Roadie at heart!

Wow, that's some impressive biking! And some impressive weight loss! What do the bikers in the Tour de France use?

Thank you Shirfleur, that was a far younger me :-). Every bike in the Tour De France is a carbon fiber frame with disc brakes and electronic shifting.
After all the research I’ve done this weekend I will be getting a good quality steel bike. It will be a little heavier than a carbon fiber but should be easier on my body on a long ride.
