Ahhhhh patience! I am reviewing my weight chart. I lose a pound or two, stay steady for 6-8 weeks, then lose another pound or two, repeat. I would love to lose faster, but so be it. Over the past three years, I average a 10 pound loss per year without gaining it back. Yes, I am 30+ pounds down from my highest weight, which I didn’t record here. At one point I was in the mid to high 190’s on my little 4’11” body. I still have a long way to go but the big picture is that I am consistently trending downward over time. I am going to keep paying attention to whether or not I am actually hungry, avoid foods that I struggle to eat in proper portions, and continue daily exercise.

Slow, steady, and sustainable is better than crash and rebound any day. Most people can lose weight, but they struggle with not regaining. And even modest weight loss contributes to good health. Good for you!

Awesome, good for you! 🎉👏👏 I too weighed more than my start weight before getting serious with FS again. I am 5’2” and jumped on the scale at the beginning of March 2021 at 199 lbs. I lost some and then started my current journey with FS on March 22, 2021, at 192 lbs, with my hubby. One day at a time! It does help to jump on every day and log food. When I started, I was a fanatic measuring my food instead of eyeballing it. There is some much support at FS! You can and will do it! Wish you the best!!

Very good! Wisdom helps us to choose a right action what to do when we are hungry and when we have an eating desire. Patience is a virtue. It improves our ability to accept disappointment and enjoy life much more. People say that good things come to those who wait. I definitely agree with them. I support you! 😃💖

Yes! 🙌🏼 Thank you for reminding me it can be a long process. I get discouraged often with how slow that sometimes is but try to remember it’s all part of the journey.

This is good news! Positive feedback keeps us on track! I am not losing as fast as I would like - nor as fast as I was for the last year and a half! But your post helps me to stay on track anyway!! Thank You!! 🥰

gmctruffle: So true. I have allowed myself to eat off plan the past two days and I am…so…tired. I am going back on plan and cutting my departure short since I prefer feeling clear headed and energetic.

Hey Danana, I hear you on the patience thing. I am trying to get where you are and it is taking forever. A registered dietitian recent reassured me that losing 2 pounds a month is “completely respectable” at my age (post-menopausal). But even that seems difficult lately. Like you I keep reminding myself that the important thing is for the downward trend to continue, even as slow as it is. I’m also not getting on the scale for a few days!
