Ugh, I keep yo-yoing with the same 2 pounds. Any non low carb advice on how to nudge the scale past these same 2 pounds? I don’t consume wheat all day for two days a week, and everyday at supper. I also have one full day that’s meatless and another half day that is.

In my opinion, it often comes down to the consistency of nutrition. For example, are you quite regimented Monday-Friday but then a little loose on the weekends? I did that for a long time. If you’re tracking your calories, are you using weight whenever possible? Volume can be quite inaccurate. Also, nutrition labels can legally be out by about 20%. Keeping at least 30 grams of protein per meal can also be helpful for various reasons (preserve lean mass, satiating) Training/Exercising: This type of fluctuation was common for me when i was doing a lot of cardio exercise. When i switched my main focus to resistance training, with a little bit of cardio mixed in, my progress has been much more consistent.

Thanks SM, I will definitely pay more attention to nutritional values & exercise from now on. I have also noticed there is a variance of +/- 10 calories on many foods listed in the app based on whether it’s an American or Canadian nutrition label.

Tinfoil Hat Warning…heres one of my “conspiracy theories” 😜 I don't have any evidence to support this theory, but it would make sense to me that companies who market their foods and beverages as healthy, diet, low carb, low fat, high protein, etc. may exploit that 20% allowance in nutritional values to make their product seem a little more appealing to the consumer in a competitive market. For example, if youre looking at the nutrition information for 2 similar products, and they both claim the same macros, but one has 20% lower calories on the label, even though they are actually the same, I would imagine that it would be a benefit in the marketplace. As I said, I don't have any evidence that companies do this…but it wouldn’t surprise me.
