Hi Claire. Since I started on 18th April I have done an average of 12,006 steps a day and some less than 6k in only 3 days. I've been eating between 900 and 1,100 calories a day.

Claire I not one to preach but until recently I struggled, my advices simply identify which food makes you put on weight and find an exercise that you enjoy and concentrate on these two and hopefully the rest will follow, I hope this help? Sorry if I sound like I am trying to tell you how to suck 🥚🥚🥚.

Exercise is very important for health and fitness but it's inefficient for weight loss. I do a lot of exercise but will still put on weight if I eat too much. To lose weight I have to eat less calories than I need. That amount is different for everyone and varies throughout your journey in life and weightless eg you need less calories the lighter you become. Focus on your calories, adjust if necessary and above all keep going.

Hi 👋 I am having between 900 and 1200 a day. Not much exercise. Try to get 2-3 walks done in a week. I had been struggling like you. Now I am losing weight daily. Even if only 1/4 or 1/2 a pound. Good luck huni 😘

I used to lose weight on 1500 calories a day but post menopause it's dropped to 1200. And it's much slower now. As soon as I relax my calorie intake my weight shoots up now, whereas before menopause I could get away with it.

Thankyou all. I'm going to up my steps and reduce my cals and see how I get on. Menopause and getting old sucks. !!

Clairebear70 I have about the same start and goal weight as you do and when I was losing weight consistently I had 1600 - 1700 calories. I think a good and easy calculation is (your goal weight in pounds x 12), which would give you 1800 calories. I would advise you to start there for a week or two and track your calories as accurately as possible. Then after that time if you're not losing you can adjust again. I think your current calories are way too low to be sustainable. But, that is just my two cents worth. All the best!

Yes, Nikina. I must clarify that 1200 is for weight loss, to get a reaction so to speak. Its not sustainable. 1700 is maintenance for me. I would lose weight on 1500 but it would take a long, long time.

What iv learnt is, when we figure out whet our maintenance cals are, we then work out our weight loss cals per day/ week.. but if we keep going under our target daily weight loss cals our bodies go into starvation mode even slightly, so after reading a lot its best to go 10% over WL cals per day or 5% under throughout the week so our bodies don’t get so used to the same amount of fuel everyday.. like surprising the body all the time, so it doesn’t know whats coming next, our bodies are so fast to survive/ adapt that we need to out wit ourselves… so weight loss cals per day, 10% over & 5% under throughout a week for best results.. good luck all..

It will be doing good in other places sometimes it seems to plateau for a bit before it drops again but keep with it and stay strong 💪

I am not a tall person and have a very slow metabolism, for me to lose weight I can't consume more than 1000 cals. Going into ketosis helps as calories don't count, so I follow Keto
