WARNING: Long journal ahead. Last night I got into an argument with my hubby about health. I was in a bad mood to start with because I haven't been feeling well, so that wasn't good. He started telling me how his fat is turning into muscle because he's running, and he's sure he's gained a lot of muscle already. Instead of being supportive of his loss, I went off about how fat doesn't turn into muscle and he only runs 3x per week and eats junk all the time, so I'm pretty sure he's not "gaining" muscle. Well, it just escalated from there, because he can never be wrong. I said my peace and told him "you have your opinions, and I have mine, and it's not going to change tonight." Well, he just kept on going. He is terrible, because he thinks he knows everything about being healthy and he really doesn't. So, I printed off an article for him about how fat turning into muscle is a myth and doesn't happen. He told me once that the average sedentary person should eat 3000 cals per day. I responded with, "I know that wouldn't work for me." I know I should have been more supportive and encouraging of his loss, but last night I just couldn't take anymore of his "health" talk. Then, he told me he'd have the puppy sleep on his side of the bed so he could get up with him. I can't hear the puppy unless he's on my side of the bed because he's a quiet whiner. Well, needless to say I woke up to piles of dog doo on the carpet. I was scrubbing the carpet while my hubby is just sleeping away. He woke up for a second and saw what I was doing and went back to sleep. There were no brownie points earned yesterday that's for sure. I love my hubby, but sometimes I just want to smack him. I guess I need to just get over it and I should take my frustrations out in a workout. I do feel better getting that out. Sorry to anyone who endures this whole thing.
