Okay, so, met with the trainer last night. She kicked my butt! I'm so sore in places I didn't know could be sore. I feel good, though! She set me a calorie plan and told me what percentage of everything I should be eating. I need to SERIOUSLY cut back on my carbs. So, for now, I'm abandoning points. It's a scary concept for me to grasp because I've lived my life according the points for the past four years of my life. So today I've been super hesitant about EVERYTHING I put in my mouth. Which is a good thing, I think! I'm going out to lunch with ladies from work and then I'm going out to dinner with HS friends. So...this probably isn't the best day to start but no day like the present, right? I think this might be something good for me because it's not a "fad" but it's something new so I'll be on high alert.

All of the exercises she gave me work cardio as well as muscle groups. So I'll be able to spend less physical time at the gym. So, we'll see! I really hope this change in pace/eating regime will show me the results I'm looking for!

I'm interested in what type of things your trainer wants you to eat?

She said I should be eating about 55% carbs, 15% Protein, 20% Fat, and 10% whatever. She then broke it down into how many grams of each I should be eating. It's nothing special, really, I was just not eating the RIGHT things on WW.

Points are pretty much like calories. But I think a trainer will be great motivation. Just remember that unless she has a degree in nutrition to follow her plan, but use common sense. Good luck!

She is a certified nutritionist, so I feel okay trying her plan. I feel like, if I really don't have the self control to do it I can always switch back, but I was "spending" my points on things that weren't giving me the proper nutrition or helping my metabolism at all.

I think it sounds like a great idea, sometimes switching it up is all you need to see a big drop on the scale. :)
