I can't believe I haven't been on here all week. I gained 1.4 lbs last weekend and haven't lost it all week. And I worked every day cleaning the house, going through things, carrying boxes and bags out to the porch and to the car and the scales never moved. Seems kinda strange. And I was keeping track of everything, too. I guess it was inches instead of lbs because people are telling me I look like I've lost more weight. Shirts and pants are becoming too big for me. I have to dig for smaller things to wear. I know I've got some here somewhere.

My scales were very good to me this week, but then, I was very good to me, too. I got some exercise in several days and ate all the right things. It's been a good week. My hubby went to the store Wednesday night and brought home pastries, which is his downfall. This time he brought me home some, too.....crème sticks, which I love. There were 4 chocolate and 4 regular (my fav). He said he'd split them with me but I told him I only wanted one of each and I wasn't eating them til after weigh in today. So I got my coffee this morning and my two crème sticks and sat down to enjoy them....and could only eat one. lol They were too sweet. Sure, it was good, but soooo much fat. 16 for one. So I'm glad that's all I could eat. I'll have the other one tomorrow. I've gotten compliments from several people this week on losing the weight. It feels so good.

It's one of those chilly, wet days here in SW PA. And it's getting dark right now. I hate that the sun goes down so early. Plus in a week and a half, it will go down even earlier. But for some reason, I'm looking forward to Christmas this year....the snow falling, beautiful colored lights, staying warm and dry in the house. And I'm the one one who hates it when the stores start celebrating Christmas before Halloween...lol. Oh, well.
I wanted to use up the kielbasa that's in the fridge and make something special for supper tonight so I looked through my Gooseberry cookbooks but when I checked the ingredients I was always missing something. And I'm just not in the mood to go shopping. I put my fuzzy socks on and am sitting watching tv and crocheting. That's about all I want to do today. Besides, Hubby says he just wants plain old kielbasa. Less work for me, I guess. I hope everybody's doing well. Keep at it, guys!

This has been a good weekend. The weather was a little chilly but it felt nice. The trees are starting to turn and I love it. So beautiful. I've been able to keep on track, too. I wanted to overeat yesterday but just told myself "no". I don't want to stay where I'm at and I'm back on track again, so I don't want to blow it. It feels so good to be in control and see the scales go down every week, even if it's only a lb. One lb at a time.....however I get there and however long it takes. One perk of it being fall is that apples are in season. I love a good, cold, crisp apple. The stores finally got Honeycrisp apples in, and if you've never eaten one - well, you should! Yes, they're a little more expensive than regular Jonagold, Gala, Rome, etc...but they're worth it! So crisp and sweet. I eat one for a snack or add celery, banana, and mayo (ff, of course) and make a waldorf salad of sorts. It's just so satisfying to me. If the fruit I buy isn't good, I just can't eat it. I'd rather not buy it at all than to waste it by throwing it away. So I'm very picky about my fruit. I had a nice salad for lunch today and toasted tomato sandwiches for supper. I've had to figure a few hot things to make to satisfy me when it gets chilly. So far I've been doing ok. I want to bake a potato, too. My Mom used to make the most delicious potatoes....slice it into 1/4" pieces - not all the way through, put a little butter (margarine) in between - (I might try my spray butter), some slices of onion and a little parmesan cheese. Wrap it in aluminum foil and bake it till done. I'm drooling for this...lol. I might make that for supper tomorrow night. Just can't get it out of my mind. Sweet dreams everyone.

Down 2.4 lbs. I was definitely in control of my meals this week. And I got to move more which I'm sure helped. The next three weeks will be busy but I'm glad to be home tomorrow. Hope everyone is doing well.
