The scales finally moved! lost 2 lbs this week! Thought I better weigh in today, before I cook dinner at my Dad's tonight. All Atkins friendly food (pork roast, summer squash, salad, SF strawberry pie) but somehow when we have a family dinner I seem to eat more than usual, portion control loses out. LOL
My sister fed our outside dog, a blue heeler mix, while we were out of town, so I owe her a SF strawberry pie, the whole pie just for her, she doesn't intend to share. :) yea, I am making 2 pies today. LOL
Monday is back to work after 12 days of vacation. oh well, I am well rested, the last 5 days I slept late, drank coffee on the back patio in the mornings, read 2 books and working on a 3rd, made several crystal bracelets, crochet fuzzy flip flops, played with the dogs, generally took life easy, AND LOST WEIGHT TOO!
Well its off to the kitchen, gotta wash, trim and slice squash and strawberries...
addition: Dinner was a great success. Tried my own verison of a squash cassrole, didn't have any leftovers. :) got the strawberry pies made, decided instead of a pie for tonight's dinner I would make individual desserts, easier portion control. also with th SF pie its great for diabetics but the carbs in the crust are hard on Atkins carb counts (about 12 carbs per serving) so half of the individual desserts I made with just strawberries and the SF gel. just add a little Cool Whip and a spoon!
