Hard to say No to p-nuts. If I measure out the quarter cup and leave the jar in the kitchen in the cabinet behind something I don't use everyday I am OK. LOL. But they are good for you.

Peanuts should not kick you out of Ketosis. How do you even measure out 1/4 cup of peanuts. Measuring in grams is really a great idea. Very accurate. I saw a recipe the other day that called for 1/4 cup of whole blackberries. Really?

Peanuts can kick you out of ketosis. They are carby since they are botanically legumes and not nuts. Also the salt may make you hold on to water which is another thing but less concerning.

That day, I ate unsalted peanuts that came with shells. I’d estimate 1.5 dinner plates of those, with the shells still on. I have no idea of the cups or grams.
I nearly always use grams for measuring food quantity. It’s so much easier to get an accurate measurement.
I’ve been doing Keto for nearly three years now. I’ve gotten pretty good at counting and estimating carbs. I’ve read that nuts can end ketosis, even if you keep the net carbs down. Apparently legumes nearly always get some type of mold that causes inflammation. Completely aside from their carb count. Tree nuts also can end ketosis, for some other reason.

This is just what I have read: peanuts and anything that grows under the grown is high carb. carrots, potatoes, peanuts etc. But they say peanuts are also a legume. Tree nuts are best like almonds pecan, but to stay away from cashews because they are hard to stop eating. I stick with almonds mostly, then pecans and walnuts.
