Knocking at the door of 200 lbs. This is a big, negative blow to me psychologically.

I started reading the book What Are You Hungry For? last night for motivation to turn this around. So far I'm not seeing much new advice, but it always helps me to infuse my mind with positive thoughts on how to control overeating.

It has been a slippery slope. It started when we moved in June 2012. Then Dad died in May 2013. I couldn't hang on to my previously good habits with the disruptions. It's just the way it goes.

I am taking small steps because I don't want to admit I've given up entirely. Joined the Y last month. Started sessions there with a personal trainer and I refuse to break any appointments. I have to draw the line somewhere. I'm going to put gym time on my appointments calendar 3 times a week.

I want to feel better. I've been feeling tired and haggard the last few months.

Coco...you've not given up completely or you wouldn't be here! So yeah for you!!! Usually working with a trainer can be encouraging so just look at it like a treat for you in 2014. YOU CAN DO THIS!! I'll be watching for your progress!

I agree with Sasi Jo. You haven't given up. You're hanging in there and moving forward, just like a lot of us are trying to do. I also struggle with overeating and trying to get a handle on it. Sometimes I'm doing good, sometimes not so good. Wishing us all a little success each day. Here's to brighter and lighter days ahead.
