Good news!--Hubby has an appointment with the surgeon 12/13. He feels that there may be some light at the end of the tunnel. Starting to get organized for Christmas decorating. We have SO MANY DECORATIONS. So this year he decided to sort, trash or donated what we really do not need or use. This means there are at least 50 and I am not lying 50 totes we have to go through. We don't move or work as fast as we once did - so that's why we are starting this early. For the past 33 years, it has been a very important tradition with him that all the decorating be done and the lights (inside and out) be ready to be turned on Thanksgiving night. With his back and legs it really does take longer. He can only do about 4 hours each day. I am trying to get the ornaments done - still have 2-3 dozen to paint. I am planning on doing Christmas gnomes - in assorted colors. I bought the Christmas goodies bags, some shredded paper (for padding) and some candy to put everything in. The wire was delivered yesterday. Once the ornaments are all painted, varnished and signed- I can add the wire hanger and hot glue them in place. Then I can assemble the bags. I need to find out if there I need to make tiny Christmas card to put in the bags. I really love doing this kind of thing. Not spending much money, getting a chance to be creative, bringing smiles to those who do so much. Kindness is free to give to others and It is one thing that is paid forward.
