It might take a while for your body to stabilize. Don't give up. Keep at it! The numbers will improve.

My husband reversed his diabetes by losing 75 pounds on a low carb diet called Optavia. We now eat our burgers without the bun, rarely eat fries, our favorite Italian restaurant subs sauteed spinach for pasta, no more rice or taco shells either. I lost 45 and was able to maintain. Sugar is now occasional and so is alcohol. Read labels! Raos tomato sauce has no sugar. You will get there.

P.S. We were forbidden to exercise on the program for more than 45min. and our coach advised us not to exercise so we didnt until we lost most of the weight.

I do read everything now, on low carb, low sugar, no bread, rice, fries, lifestyle of eating.
I still don’t know when they will go down.
Been doing this since August and have lost 19.8 pounds and still have numbers are still the same.
I’m so sad today from the news.
Thank you and I’ll be watching out even more of what I eat and drink, it’s so hard after eating whatever I wanted and didn’t care and should have.
So now I pay🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Thank you for listening

Do you have a Fitbit or pedometer? Tracking your 'steps' might be encouraging...even if you don't take 'walks'. You'd be surprised how many steps you take just doing your daily routine 👍🚶♀️

Apples are carbohydrate. Pastry of some sort. Where is your protein, healthy fat? Physical activity is very important for blood sugar management. Walking is easy, no special equipment involved, inexpensive. Request to see a diabetic educator. And/or do a little research and self education and learn what it takes to manage your diabetic issues

I put diabetes 2 in remission as well by dropping weight (70 lbs) in about 8 mo., cutting carbs and doing cardio excercise (walking is really good). It was a slow and deliberate process.
We're pulling for you!

it takes time for insulin resistance to go down. don't give up! you will feel so much better when your blood sugars are in range. I'm a type 1 diabetic so I will always need insulin, but I do get a front row seat to see how insulin resistant I am because I need more insulin. there are a few camps of diabetic diets and it seems like different things work better for different people. keto is good because you aren't eating the carbs so it evens out your blood sugar but the high fat content does make you more insulin resistant. I do whole food plant based and oil free. because I eat very little fat, my body is very sensitive to insulin and it works well for me. I eat lots of beans, potatoes, and veggies. good luck on your journey! obviously I'm no Dr so stick to what yours says but if you ever want to talk about diabetes and diets, Ive got 20 years of dealing with it

Stop using all Artificial Sweeteners - do not use those - they mess up the pancreas secretion of insulin required to bond the chains of glucose in your blood. Never use artificial sweeteners.

it took me a while to figure out what I was doing wrong - I lost the weight, walked or exercised 5 days a week and it took FOREVER for the numbers to drop but I am no longer even in prediabetes range now...just want to be out of the "overweight" category!

One of the best "fall outs" I have had since I started ordering for home delivery is that I can check the content when I pull up a product. I will be using internet access to research every product from now on, whether ordering on line or making out my grocery list.

Just keep at it. It will improve. Sometimes sugar is hidden well. Your body will catch up with your efforts. Add a few extra steps each day.

I think doctors sometimes have Pat answers. My family all have high cholesterol even though we eat chicken breast, and baked or grilled fish. Plenty of salads. And I and my family all get told stop eating fried foods!! Thanks but we don’t eat any fried foods!! So for my family no matter that we walk daily and 3/4 of us live in Florida by the beach, so you know they are walking!! It’s always the same … stop eating fried foods and walk more!!
You should find out if your doctor wants foods like fruit and some starchy veggies restricted from your diet. My dad was pre- diabetic and he was really restricted. He cheated a lot. Back in the 60’s sugar free did not exist. Halo top was a dream, not yet realized , we had ice milk. Horrid! But you do what you got to do. Heck I drank Tab!!😱
