Went to a memorial service for a dear friend yesterday. Afterward our oldest daughter took us out to Sizzler for Valentine's Day. She tried hard to get me to order the steak & lobster tail, but I resisted & got the Senior Salad Bar instead. Then I blew it & had BOTH chocolate AND cookies n cream mousses (?) for dessert! Oh well, at least no significant gain. One neat thing happened, a man who is in my pool exercise class at the Y was at the memorial, & I had no idea that he knew our friend. Turns out he's the uncle of our friend's daughter-in-law. A nice surprise for both of us. Have a great weekend, everyone! xxx :) xxx GLAMMER

Condolences on the loss of your special friend. That was sweet of your daughter to take you out after! And hey, you pick your poisons, and you had what you wanted. You need a little, or else you'll binge on a lot. No worries, you'll move forward. It's perfectly fine to take a pause on a day when you say goodbye to someone dear to you. I hope the mousses were great!
