Good news to share! I raided the back of my closet...and guess what I found? Awesome clothes I've not worn in years. I stacked a pile of clothes on my bed and tried on every single piece. To my amazement all of my designer suits fit so well. Gorgeous skirts and tops, also made their way to the "KEEP" pile. I was especially happy to be able to wear my most favorite blazer, which is very elaborate and ornate and super dressy - kind of elegant with an Asian-flare, with the straight lines and raised-low collar. The colors and pattern appear like a royal golden tapesty which would hang in a palace somewhere. It went beautifully with my straight chestnut brown skirt - another new find from the back of the closet; and a silk ivory tank and slammin' jewelry. What a JOY it was to put on my pantyhose on Sunday morning. No more did I feel like I was trying to tug and pull and stretch like pulling a balloon around a cantaloupe. Ahh! What a feeling to feel pretty again. I had not worn this particular outfit since 2005 - and honestly, I felt it fit me way better on Sunday than it did way back then. I could easily button it all the way up with ease and comfort, with no buttons straining or gaps to speak of. It felt good for the few folks who noticed to say, "Ahh - I like that. Is that new?" "Nope, I just haven't been able to wear it for many years. I've lost almost 40 pounds."

Today was a good Atkins day, too. I loved the variety. I enjoyed steamed shrimp with BUTTER and garlic powder...steamed brocolli...and for dessert I had my famous homemade pumpkin pudding, topped with Heavy Whipping Cream in big white puffs, and then I poured overtop of it all a teaspoon of Torani Hazlenut sugar-free syrup. Y U M M - O people! Lunch consisted of rotisserie chicken and brocolli. My breakfast satisfied me, too - having a veggie and turkey sausage omellete. (@Paula, your journal from a few weeks ago [Sat night omellete] inspired me so. I have been eating omelletes on a regular basis ever since!) My carbs for the day ended at 19.23g and the net carbs are around 13g. Feeling great!! And I certainly don't feel like I am giving up one single thing. I am eating way better now than I ever did before Atkins. I so do not miss eating out or cooking starchy, unhealthy foods. I used to rarely ever have anything sweet - did not even keep it in the house. Today I enjoy a sweet treat almost everyday. This is awesome!

Another wonderful blessing: I've learned that my beloved friend Bren lives close to me - just an hour or so away. How great is that?!! We are going to plan a get together in the warmer months.

Well, peeps, I wish you all a wonderful night. Thanks for partnering with me and for those of you who actually take time to read all this stuff. LOL

Way to go Evie. I wish I could dig to the back of my closet and pull out a bunch of saved clothes. That's not happening here. I'm proud of you success and you should be proud of yourself. Cyber Confetti falling, falling, falling all over you. Enjoy your evening :)

I had a garage sales this last summer and sold a lot of smaller items. I saved a few of my favorite things but not many. I have a couple of dresses I wore about 7 years ago that are still very stylish. My hope is to get into one them in about a month. Then I hope I can get rid of them as they are a size 18/20.

Laurie, the cyber confetti is falling, getting in my eyes, stuck in my hair, even some traces were caught in my bra. What a JOY! I'll clean it up later - I think it looks kind of pretty right now. My goal is to keep on shrinking and to have a seamstress take these clothes in, two inches, four inches, six inches...until I am where I want to be.

heyhon (LOVE your username, btw) thanks a million for stopping by. I am so happy you have some favorites that you WILL be able to wear in a month or so. What a celebration you will have! Tell me about the one piece you are MOST looking forward to wearing... Can you hang it out, like on the closet door so you can see it everyday to push you to your goal?

Lovely Bren, thanks for rejoicing with me! It was a good feeling... And I will be even more happy when these items don't fit me anymore b/c they're too big and I have to get them taken in! I am so glad you are my friend, Brender.
