I do not know how this is working... but I got a weigh in reminder... thought to myself... I just updated a couple of days ago... thought I might ignore it... weighed anyway.... and the bloat continues to fall off... Y'all!!! Best Monday ever!!

It's been a hot minute since Ive posted anything... But I thought I would check in rather than give up all together... and give an update.
To my Keto fam... there are 3 more in the fold... Me, Mom and Dad are all officially on Keto life style... In the last 10 days my mom had dropped her blood sugar almost 40 points and is feeling better than I have seen her in years, she doesn't get near as lethargic or mood swings that she once did and the redness on her legs ( the redder the higher the blood sugar) has gone down greatly. And getting better everyday! She has another check up in July and we are aiming for the DR. to lower her meds.
Dad, says his uniform is fitting him looser by the day and his joints are not hurting him.. Is is really special since he in retiring in December and to end his 30 year career on a better note than what he started would be amazing... I would love to see him in better health so he can enjoy his retirement. He also has a check up in July and wants to talk to the Doc about lowering his meds too.
Me. (started monday... parents got a head start) This is preventive medicine and right now weight loss is the main goal. I have begun to see some positive changes.. My appetite is better... Im not hungry for no reason and the worst of the cravings have subsided.
Now, I am trying to balance foods and working toward better eating.
All of the family is in on bullet proof coffee in the mornings ( Mom calls it kick butt coffee) and have had great results with that for breakfast in the morning.
I've held on to a tried and true chicken salad from Chick-Fil-a or and unwich from Jimmy Johns... I have had veggies and pimento and have kept my carb intake down... But I really... really...really want to get down to Ketosis...
I was told to look into pee sticks.... have any of you tried the pee stick? and has it been a good tool for you?
What else has helped you get to Ketosis?
