so i went out to dinner with my husband and 2 of our kids last night. i ate basically whatever i wanted. and have decided that for right now, with trying to eat clean most days and most times...one meal or two in a weekend isn't that bad. i know i am going out for drinks with some friends this evening so i need to be careful during the day. and i think if i plan it it will feel a little better.
i do wonder why it is that when i feel like i am able to get my eating in a good place i can't seem to pull off the exercise piece and when i get the exercise piece going the food part seems to fall over. i know i try to make too many changes at one time and that perhaps going a little slower about things might be better for me, but i can't always put that into place. and now it is cold outside. bummer. i guess concentrating on two small things at a time.... not one big thing and not too many big things. maybe i'll drop the boys off at football and then go to the gym for 30 minutes or so. except i might not have a car. but i can defintily go for a walk. ok... i guess it is time to move. and have something to eat.

ok... i am sure i can stick to eating more healthily for the next 2 days. weekends are tough...especially if i visit with friends...but that probably won't be happening. i am really going to work on this. identify difficult time before hand and develope someway to manage them. like the football game...cold and sitting make me want to eat. ok...wear extra clothes and bring a healthy snack. i can do this i can do this i can do this.

i am back to really working on this. not so much counting calories as being mindful of what i am eating. i can do this. just a few more pounds in a few more weeks. my goal is 135. for now. then it'll be 130 but 5 pound increments seem to work...with a long term goal of 120. i can do it i can do it i can do it.

ok... i'm not sure if i passed the happy contestants part but i'm trying. a good reason to stay on my diet is that it helps me feel confident when i do stick to it. AND a co worker i hardly ever see said "wow...you've lost a lot of weight michele" last friday...so that made me feel good.
i ran 4 miles on saturday. and stuck pretty well to my diet this weekend. much better than i have in the past weekends
